How are you managing the HPV campaign in your area?

The new HPV campaign will soon be under way in the Nottingham area from September. There is a new section on the immunisation website looking at all aspects of the vaccine and including resources and information for health professionals - see the link in 'share resources'.

Have you started it yet?
What sort of take up have you had?
Who is responsible for it - practice nurses or school nurses?

How much input do you have in your schools SRE policy? ›

HPV sessions

We have now started our sessions in Notts county and have had a good response so far. The main hiccup we had was a question over who would vaccinate girls who lived in one area and attending school in another area.

has anyone else had this problem?

HPV Vaccine

Just started our HPV vaccines in schools. School nurses are involved in their own local schools with a team of nurses organised by PCT. Lots of discussions with parents. Seemed well organised. All girls who attended school even if they live in another PCT were offered the vaccination.
