ERIC launches new toolkit to support children and young people

Fri, 13/11/2009 - 08:45 — tom
Why me?

A new toolkit has been launched to help health professionals in primary and secondary school settings support children and young people suffering with continence problems. “Why me?” produced by ERIC (Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence), with funding from the Big Lottery, will assist schools in providing help and reassurance for children and their families. The pack is available to download free from www.eric.org.uk.

“Why me?” will ensure schools are able to help children and families deal positively with childhood continence problems and address the issues sensitively. The new toolkit features management information, including a presentation for parents of new starters. This will allow school nurses to introduce the school nursing service and provide information about health issues including childhood continence.
